Friday [Folkestone]

Went out to the ranges today as marker at the butts.

Wrote letters at night.

To bed early.

    Ok, some analysis of the missing word. He usually closes his “d”s, so I think that the first 3 letters are probably “Mac”, not “Mad”. I also think that this missing word is probably the same word in the entry for the 13th, at the end of the 1st line.

    Is it “marker”? Thinking back to my army cadet days someone sat in the butts with a stick and pointed out where the bullet had hit the target for the benefit of the soldier who was firing.
