Monday [Le Havre] On parade at 7 o’clock but was dismissed. Fell in at 12.30 o’clock and went to funeral. Wrote letter. Bright & warm today.

Sunday [Le Havre] On fatigue at ordnance till noon. Had dinner. Wrote letters. Bright & warm. Cold at night. Big French victory. Guns & prisoners.
