Friday [Le Havre] Got a letter from up the line but none from Canada. Very hot & dry. No letters yet. Concert at YMCA tonight.

Thursday [Le Havre] Gas drill this morning. Got through at noon. Went back on same job in afternoon. Satarted rain at noon and rained all night.
