Monday [Wallon-Cappel] Bright & warm today. Wrote letters at night. Bob quit cook house, I go inside. Got 2 letters.

Saturday [Wallon-Cappel] Bright & warm today. Had supply Sect[ion] for dinner. Wrote letters in afternoon. Expect to go out tonight.

Friday [Wallon-Cappel] Rain again today. Very cold & damp. Men out all day. Had supper at 9 o’clock.

Wednesday [Wallon-Cappel] Some rain today. Fixed up the cookhouse & our sleeping place. Very muddy & cool at night.

Tuesday [Wallon-Cappel] Got up 3.30. Breakfast 4.45. Left Auchel at 6 o’clock. Got to Wallon-Cappel at 9 o’clock. Cookhouse all up.

Monday [Auchel] Some rain today. Expect to move tomorrow at 6 o’clock. Going to bed early tonight. Got letters.
