Very busy today as Sergt went to Auchel. Everything turned out alright. Worked late.
“Worked” late, I think.
By the way, really interesting that his diary would already have a chronology of the European War!
Agreed – “worked late”. Also wondered about the chronology, but it makes sense since this is a 1917 calendar, and the chronology is for 1915, so far.
The chronology was interesting, I posted all four pages of it in a separate post today. It runs through mid-May 1916, which I suppose is about the time that they would have been getting these journals ready for print.
I was just intrigued that they would have put a chronology of the war so far into a diary.
I suppose they have to fill up those pages at the end with something!
