Tuesday [on leave]

Worked till noon today. Got word then I was to go on leave. Left column at 3.30 for Aubiny in lorry. Very cold and snow blowing. Arrived in Aubiny about 4.30. Stayed at YMCA till 12.30 for leave train and then left.

    Has to be “left column”, can’t see how it could be anything else. Maybe that means he fell out of a parade column?? Yes, I’m really guessing there.
