Tuesday [Agnez-lès-Duisans]

Rain most of the day today. Went to Mt. St. Aloy for hay. Got back at 1.45. Wrote letters & read in afternoon and evening. No mail.

  1. I think I’ve seen the use of hay in the trenches to help with the mud. And they had horses, so hay would make sense. And the word sure looks like ‘Hay’ to me!
