Queant Monday [Wailly] Got back from rail head about 1.30. Got papers from home today. Canadian engineer got both legs broken at rail head this morning by rails. Expect to move in the morning. Advertisements

Queant Sunday [Wailly] Got back from rail head at 1.45. Left again about 2.30. Went to Arras, got a load and took it to Queant. Got back about 8.30. Rain and very windy. No mail today.

Croisilles Saturday [Wailly] Got back from rail head about noon. Went for a walk in afternoon. Read in afternoon. Big attack still on. Good news in paper tonight. Wrote letters today.

Croisilles Friday [Wailly] Got back from railhead about noon. Big attack started at daybreak, 1st, 3rd, 4th Can. Divisions. Read in afternoon & evening. Big gun on rails firing all night. Old Fritz over near morning. Got three letters today.

Croisilles Wednesday [Wailly] Got back from rail head about noon. Had dinner, read in afternoon & evening. Troops all going up the line. No mail today. Fritz’s plane brought down in flames.

Croisilles Tuesday [Wailly] Got back from rail head about 1.30. Left rail head with load for 3rd Brigade on Bullecourt Rd. Moved my tent today into Kennedy’s. Read in afternoon & evening. No mail.

Croisilles Monday [Wailly] Left about 7.30. Got back about noon. Warned for guard for tomorrow. Very chilly wind. Wrote letters in afternoon to Cynthia, G.R. & Jerry Lapier.
