Stayed in bed all day till 5 o’clock. Got up and dressed and went on deck till 9.30. Not quite so rough today.

Didn’t get [eat?] today. Quite rough. Had a couple of apples and a piece of bread. Signed wireless messages.

Wednesday

Had breakfast about 8 o’clock. Went on deck till noon. After dinner had pay parade and read till suppertime. Lost sight of land at 4.30. Pulled up minesweepers at 5.30. Played cards in evening. Getting quite rough tonight. Went to bed about 10 o’clock.

Put clock back 75 minutes at midnight.

Till noon today 238 miles.

Tuesday

Had supper at 1 o’clock. Paraded at 2 o’clock. Left about 3 o’clock. Left Liphook at 4 am. Got into Liverpool at 1.30. Got on boat at 3 o’clock. Wrote a card to Hannah. Berth Sec. A. bed 111. Left Liverpool at 6 pm. Put minesweepers out at 8.30. Played cards in evening. Went to bed about 10 o’clock.

Rumors of E of B going down

Monday

No parades this morning. Wrote a letter to Mabel & sent registered letter to Hannah. Got a letter from Mother. Went over to Tin Town and bought a few things. Also got a hair cut. Went on parade at 2 o’clock. Handed in blankets at 6 o’clock and got embarkation tickets.

Had dinner at one o’clock and left camp at 2 am.

Quite chilly today. Got a letter from Mother today. Wrote one to Cynthia Hannah.

Sunday

No parades today till 2 o’clock. Read all the morning and wrote a letter after dinner to Mabel. Called out again for draft. No more parades today. Raining most of the day & some snow. Cleared up at night but very windy.

Went down to Liphook for a walk after supper. Had tea down there. Got back about 10 o’clock.

Went on parade at 8 o’clock. Name called out for to go the Baltic on the 29th. No more parades today. After dinner went for a bath. After supper went to cinema and had supper at Cath. [Catholic] Club. Got to bed about 10.30. Wrote a letter to Hannah and got a letter from Mabel Woodley. Quite cold tonight and very windy.

Friday

Went on parade at 8 o’clock and again at nine but nothing doing. Another draft picked but it was a western [?] one. Went over through tin town for a walk. Went on parade again at 2 o’clock but called off till 5 o’clock. At five it was cancelled till 7 o’clock. At 7 o’clock there was nothing doing. The draft for the Empress of Britain went at 11.30 tonight but no word of the Baltic.

Quite cold tonight but clear.

Thursday

Paraded at 8 o’clock but nothing doing  for me. Went for a walk in moring. Came back, sent some more cards home & a letter to Hannah. After dinner slept & read till supper time. After supper went to cinema. Had some supper about 8.30 and got to bed about 10.30. No mail today.

Bright & warm today.
